Muslims are better than Islam, Christians are worse than Jesus' teachings

Mark,

I have the same experience as you have. The title that I chose for my comment summarizes my feeling. I have studied the Islamic source scriptures (Quran, Hadith, Sira in various translations) extensively and what I found is really appalling. As a matter of fact, every day I discover new shocking things. If all muslims would follow them, the world will turn into hell within a year. Every muslim will turn into a suicide bomber. In accordance with Quran 9:111 that literally says that a good muslim kills and gets killed for the sake of Allah.

Some muslims realize this and leave Islam. Most muslims prefer to stay ignorant. We call them moderates and they are very nice people. Hence muslims are better that Islam. The problem is that any moderate muslim can decide to study more of Islam and either leave it or become a suicide bomber.

On the contrary, I say that Christians are worse than the teachings of Jesus. I do not say that christians are bad people, but they would be better if they follow Christ's teachings more carefully.

Jan.
