Reader comment on item: Sudden Jihad Syndrome (in North Carolina)
in response to reader comment: Avenging The Killing Of Muslims?

Three years on and the neo-cons are still trying to prove a link between Saddam and Al-qaeda and that Saddam had WMD in 2003.

Many in America are still unable, or unwilling, to admit to themselves that they were duped by their leaders and by the neo-cons that control their foreign policy. It is so sad to see these same Americans clutching at straws in an effort to convince themselves that their murderous aggression against Iraq was justified.

It is these same Americans that believe that
a) everything is swell in Iraq,
b) the civil war is an aberration,
c) their leaders actually know what they are doing in that shattered country.
d) the violence is proof that the insurgency is desperate

Sad.
