in response to reader comment: wrong views regarding Islam

Submitted by plusaf (United States), Jan 23, 2008 at 01:14

when you say "I am rather shocked by this comment on "PITBULL ISLAMISTS" . It was based on entirely illogical views regarding Islam and the final messenger of Allah Muhammad (s.a.w). How can anyone blame or accuse a person without knowing him properly ? ", you make it impossible for anyone to come to any possible conclusion which disagrees with yours. very simply put, if i accuse any person of anything, it means i don't know them properly, because, obviously, if i knew them properly, i would not so accuse them.

sorry, but we don't buy that. in America, we're much more impressed with what people do and say and we have the freedoms to interpret that any way we like. when we see Islamic "leaders" behead our people and drag their mutilated bodies through the streets filled with cheering people, we find it hard to reconcile that with the concept of "Islam is a religion of peace." we don't do that kind of stuff.

and when we see you "leaders" gloat and cheer at the deaths of thousands of innocent people, while calling for the death and destruction of an entire country [ours], we look at them as if they were some kind of mindless madmen, not anyone who could possibly be following the beliefs of a "religion of peace" if it were so. for they frequently refer to their religion in the context of these killings, mutilations and mass atrocities.

you see, your logic fails the tests of reasonableness. you create an argument which can not possibly lead to any conclusion but yours. maybe your world works that way, but ours doesn't. and, on average, "our way" has produced many more beneficial products and services for the world than yours has.

that's another one of the measures we tend to use... go look at the list of winners of Nobel Prizes. you're not absent because of prejudice.... trust me on that one.
