This is what Kaye said (not what some people think Kaye thought)

"Tom Brokaw: You found evidence of programs that were in place but no weapons.

DK: There were a lot of small activities. Now, in the missile field it's quite different. There were actually large, purposeful programs going on in that area. But in chemical, biological and nuke, it was rudimentary.
( My comment -- there was no real evidence that the missiles could go much further than what was allowed by the UN which was 93 miles)

TB: David, as you know the vice president of the United States and Secretary of State Powell say, "We still don't know the end result. We could still find these weapons."

DK: Well, Tom, let me explain how we came — how I came to a different conclusion. If there weren't stockpiles of weapons, there must have been a production process which required plants, required people and would have produced documentation. But we have seen nothing that would indicate large-scale production.

TB: And no scientist who testified to that.

DK: No scientist, no documentation nor physical evidence of the production plants.

And according to Kaye "Clearly, the intelligence that we went to war on was inaccurate, wrong"

Now, do I need to define WRONG ?

As to a biological/chemical terror attack, we should not forget that an anthrax attack did take place in the US. The suspect was a US citizen/scientist. So, if we are to follow the argument made by Orange Yonason then the US has terrorists and potential terrorists living on US mainland, these terrorists have the capability of acquiring chem/bio weapons and are willing and in fact they did actually use them; therefore the UN needs to disarm the US of its WMD.

I would like nothing more than to take apart the arguments presented by Orange Yonason, but he/she appears to be happy to believe the fairy tales that FOX and Friends dishe up to the gullible every day. Those who really want fair and balanced reports (and who want information that is nearer to the truth) will be glad to hear that Al Jazeera will be broadcasting soon in English.

Here is what the respected Hans Blix had to say about WMD

""We conducted over 700 inspections of 500 sites, including several dozen inspections of sites suggested by intelligence agencies in the [United States] and the [United Kingdom] and we did not uncover any ‘smoking gun.' And U.S. and U.K. evidence was increasingly rebutted," Blix said. Blix even went so far as to say that some of the evidence presented by President Bush in his State of the Union message "was shown to have been a forgery."" (http://www.newu.uci.edu/print.php?id=3798)

A passing thought regarding what Kaye said about WMD components being moved to Syria --Kaye was proved wrong and had to "eat his words" with regard to Iraq's WMD. It would not be, therefore, far fetched to imagine that Kaye is also wrong about the Syria connection.
