Killers in the US aren't congratulated

Reader comment on item: Sudden Jihad Syndrome (in North Carolina)
in response to reader comment: Wrong individual reaction to a wrong state action.

Of course we have killers here, just like every other country in the world.

We even have some who kill in the name of Christianity. Most are active in the pro-life movement and they feel justified killing doctors and workers at abortion clinics. The difference is that here they are arrested, tried and, if convicted, imprisoned. They aren't paid a bounty for killing others and their deeds are not generally applauded, though there's usually an extremist like a televangelist who will condone their acts. The American people, however, do not. Here's a site with a brief summary of cases:

www.courttv.com/trials/kopp/others_ctv.html

My suggestion is if any country's government considers the US a killer state and all Americans legitimate targets for terrorism then the US should immediately break off diplomatic relations, just as we did with Iran. Unfortunately for those students in North Carolina, we gave the Iranian people the benefit of the doubt and the result is there for all to see.

If you want the US to take appropriate action against individual Muslim acts, then maybe the US should ban all Muslim travel to this country until Osama and everyone else behind the 9/11 attacks is turned over to the American people. Since we can't tell who will come down with SJS, we should ban all foreign-born Muslims until Islam undergoes a reformation. It's the only way to prevent peaceful Muslims from being victims in a legitimate war against those who kill our people and attack our country.

If we isolate the world Muslim community, then peaceful Muslims who want to interact with others might have an incentive to rid themselves of the cancer in their midst. If they don't then they're not really all that peaceful, are they?

You love to talk about double standards. What would your reaction have been if individual Americans had decided to avenge 9/11 by blowing up certain Muslim shrines? That would seem to be "an eye for an eye" (or, in this case, a building for a building) reaction, just as happened in North Carolina.
