Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Submitted by Upholder Of Truth (United States), Feb 20, 2007 at 23:18

Muslims do not draw pictures of Muhammad (May God's blessings be upon him) or any other Prophet (may God's blessings be upon them) including Jesus (peace be upon him) and Moses (peace be upon him) and this is out of respect of these pious messengers and emphasis on their legacy rather than their physical attributes or appearance.

Freedom of speech does not allow us to scream fire in a crowded cinema, or spread falsities about one another, so why should it allow blasphemy, hate mongering and baseless accusations?

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) put up with a lot of hate and ridicule from Jews and non-believers, and he tolerated it. As an example to Muslims (pbuh) the Muslims should tolerate this, but speak out against it as false and foundationless. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) prophecized the day that Islam will be ridiculed once again after a long era of dominance and he was asked if this was due to the Muslims being weak in numbers. The Prophet (pbuh) responded negatively saying that they would be many but they will have too much love for life on earth and show little concern for the day of judgment. We see this happening today.

If the whole world got together to hurt Islam, and God does not wish harm on Islam, no harm will be done. If the whole world got together to save Islam and God wished death upon Islam, there is no saving Islam. Thankfully, God has protected Islam and will continue to do so until the day of judgment. Wish the same could be said about the faiths' of the blasphemous Danish.
