Jamil, violence is not an appropriate response when offended.

Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism
in response to reader comment: You are totally wrong

Jamil, you are correct concerning the fact that the media and arts disrespectfully depicts my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, every day and .... it makes me mad. When Islamic militants destroyed Holy Bibles and desecrated one of Christianity's most holy sites in Jerusalem .... I felt rage. However, after the initial reaction in each incident, a calm comes upon me when I consider the darkness of the source and prayfully move on. Any protest is directed through peaceful means.

Jamil, when I first saw a copy of "Mohammed's Believe It or Else?" by Aboullah Azaz ...... it was on our Moslem's neighbours' ten year old son's night table while they were giving my husband and I a tour of their beautiful home. My adult children had Christian comic books in their growing years and our grandchildren now read them ...... so I did not stop to dwell on the contents of this publication.

That revelation was not apparent until this discussion on the Daniel Pipe's forum. As you must be aware, in that particular child's comic book, Jews are depicted as monkeys, pigs, rats, spiders and .... that is only a portion of the hatred and violence directed toward all that is not Islamic. Jamil, our children were taught to pray for those who were not Christians ..... exemplify the love of Christ in their actions and words. Do they fall short of that expectation .... everyday and .... so do my husband and I ...... nevertheless, love; not hate was the ideal we strive for when training our children.

By the way ..... Jamil, do you honestly believe that childrens' comic book, a "Mohammed's Believe It or Else?" by Aboullah Azaz, depicts your prophet, Mohammed, with reverence.

Jamil, if anything positive comes from the events of the past week ..... it will be the discussions that are taking place all over the democracies of the free world. Forums, talk shows, articles, commentaries, etc. that are revealing the Islamic double standard of the game being played ....... non-Moslems must play by the rules regarding being tolerant of others and their beliefs but the same rules do not apply to Moslems.
