Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism
in response to reader comment: insulting religions

If I could I would do something to help. But since I live in America-Minnesota, and the people who are causing the riots are nowhere near my neighborhood, there is not much I can do. And the Muslims I know wouldn't be willing to cause any more attention toward themseleves, they just want to live a normal life as much as possible.

As person born in America and a Muslim I try respecting both my religion and American nationality. Anyways what my main message is to people is that even though there have been a lot of Muslims who have caused terrorist attacks, there is also a lot of Muslims who still remain peaceful as any other person. What I 'm also trying to get across is each person practices the religion a certain way depending on their cultural or family upbringing or other reasons. Some people practice the religion in a way which they believe is right but instead is wrong and conveys the Muslim religion as one which is full of hatred and evil.

Anyways many Non-Muslims are having a hard time time understanding that and I don't blame them since what they mostly see about the religion is what the media shows. But really what people need to understand is every Muslim is different and were all individuals who have many different ethnic/cultural backgrounds, personalities and ways of thinking. Anyways I hope this answers your question and hopefully other people's questions.
