Here's a man who's relatives thought he was unbelievable, who's scribes often corrected his visions to make them more reasonable, who thought that when he believed that different religious beliefs should not be attacked had those surahs removed, and attributed them to Satan (the Satanic Verses) saying that Gabriel never said those things, and who married a 9 year old, etc. ad nauseum, and who spread his beliefs by the sword, this is the messenger that has all Muslims so utterly convinced that they cannot even question the man, his beliefs, or the obvious hate peddled in the holy books.

Muslims have to kill non-believers, infidels as they call everyone, anyone who switches religions (apostates), they torture and cut off limbs as punishments, what sort of group is this anyway? What have they accomplished in the past 1400 years since Islam was adopted? Invented Math? No, that was from the Greeks. Astronomy? No, despite claims by muslims.

What exactly has Islam added to the progress of mankind ? Anything ? Aside from mayhem and murder, and promoting hate and disrespect for anyone who disagrees with their views.

And muslims keep saying that Christianity is the same - no way, Christ was not a warrior, he didn't promote hate, he was no political leader, indeed some Christians fought back against Islamic atrocities during the Crusades, but this was a response to Islam, not an effort to wipe it out, quite different than the Islamic belief that the world should be run only by Muslims as a huge caliphate, under Sharia law, with few freedoms, and punishments that can only be deemed uncivilized and barbaric.

Respect for Muslims should be earned, not demanded, and until they find a messenger like Christ, with a new view of islam and Allah, one less tainted with hate and disrespect for others, their so-called "religion of peace" will never progress beyond a religion of hate, distrust, and forced submission.
