in response to reader comment: Islamic sensitivity and tolerance: ultimate oxymorons!

Nuray, I say, ".. In a nutshell, this is the problem with Islam: "Muhammad was [as you say] a religious/military/political leader." As a result, at it's very core Islam is simultaneously militant and religious. This combination is considered politically functional, but, in fact is lethal. This core arrangement of Islam has fostered the (ultimate) social disaster of Imperialistic Islam, chronic inter-tribal warfare and finally, despotic tyrannies wherever Islam reigns. It has led to deep social and spiritual stagnation for Muslims worldwide. This must be extremely frustrating for Muslims ... who have been led to believe such grandiose statements as: "Prophet Muhammed, peace upon him, who is the most influential person in history..." and then must resign yourselves to living in tyrannies. It's sad, actually."

You reply, "After the collapse of Ottoman Empire the borders of Middle East is redrawn by Westerners. The dictators and Kings have always been supported by Westerners in the past and still today. Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt are allies of Western States.

Superpowers can end those dictatorships any time they want. Iraq war is just an simple example. Bringing democracy to Middle East have been tried but recent elections show that people in Middle East favor Islam."

What on earth does what you say have to do with anything I've said? Let me try this: Are you, in an evasive and double talking sort of way, agreeing that Mohammed was the tyrant upon which all your other tyrants are modeled, and as such, you prefer Islamist tyrannies to freedom? It sure sounds like it when you say, "Bringing democracy to Middle East have been tried but recent elections show that people in Middle East favor Islam." If so, thank you for validating my point. You enjoy dictatorships? Fine, then keep them. However, when your dictatorships interfere with the freedom of the USA, then, most basically, be prepared to be totally defeated. Our freedom will not be trampled upon. Period.

As for your claim, "In short, All ways go to Islam." No, Nuray, they don't. The only thing we all have to do is get born and die. In between, I assure you, there are myriad possibilities. Don't shove. You're living in a complete fantasy if you think you won't get shoved back.
