Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

It is scary to think that our great country - the US of A - has leaders and followers who have forgotten what made this country great.........freedom OF religion. No one need abide by any religious law that they do not personally uphold.

Secondly FREE SPEECH no matter how tasteless.....How is it, our American leaders would sink so low as to assume that THIS country has to apologize for following its own laws. Americans can't be prosecuted for saying what they think..or for drawing cartoons that others do not like. If we are censored by OUTSIDERS.....If we apologize for doing that which WE have fought for the privilege of doing, if we cowtow to threats...then we are living by THEIR system....cutting off hands?

We are only steps away from being roped into THEIR world .....we need to back every country who is brave enough, strong enough, WISE enough to ignore these hypocrites who DAILY insult other religions PUBLICLY and without hesitation. Give in - We better not.

I have absolutely no interst in in helping future generations of American women wear burquas. We need to let them know IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS - we don't care if they don't like cartoons!!! This is our way of life...LOVE IT OR LEAVE ....go back to your moslem countries and leave US alone. This is scary stuff!!
