Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Thank you for helping me put this issue into perspective. I support our right to free speech and I agree the issue would carry more weight were there not a double standard of behavior and respect.

I personally choose not to make comments, jokes or references to any group that could be misconstrued as rude or offensive and I teach my children to be mindful of their choices. I thank you for reminding readers of the Muslim community's choices to mock, insult and disrespect other groups in the same ways they are protesting against now. While Mr. Bush is my President, I have a difficult time finding issues he supports and choices he has made that represent my feelings, attitudes or beliefs.
