honor killings unfortunately happen, but they have nothing to do with islam. they are a cultural matter that happens to occur in some countries that are also muslim. just like arranged marriage.

islam is specifically AGAINST arranged marraiges...but in some south asian countries (that tend to have muslims in them) it still happens.

these phenomena are a result of muslims that dont practice thier own religoin or pick and choose and mix with thier own culture...a shame really...for islam in its pure form is the best way of life.

you also said something about violence and islam being spread that way. islam is not being spread by violence, the only thing violence is diong for islam is making it seem violent! the truth is that most muslims today were introduced to islam through commerce and trade.

what is the largest poulation of muslims in the world?

1. indonesia
2. india

(arabs only make 14 percent)

both were introduced to islam through merchant tradings. trust me. no arab warriors ever went to indonesia or india.

just some insight, hope it answered your questions
