It seems to me that the cartoons effect [and maybe their purpose] has been to hold up a mirror for the rampaging mobs to see who really brings The Prophet into disrepute.

It is salutary to realise that the 21st century Internet has globalised the call from the Dark Ages, to Jihad.

Besides Ephraim Karsh, read Andrew Bostom, then stand up with Scandinavia.
