Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Submitted by RAJAGOPALAN (India), Feb 13, 2006 at 03:03

The problem of the Muhamed cartoons is just a scratch on the surface. The problem is of very deep rooted hate and paranoia running down several centuries. The paranoia is self created. Almost all the battles fought by the founder of Islam were offensive in nature and without any provocation from anyone. The Muslims therefore emulate the Prophet's behaviour, of course, unreasonably.

The inability of the Muslims to "live and let live" resulted in the partition of my country - India. Sadly, Indians are also not learning their lessons from history. As Lincoln said "You cannot fool all the people of all the time". If there is a World War III, it is going to be "Islam versus the rest of the world" - the world of the Islamically wronged people.
