Moslem outrage at Danish cartoons

Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Submitted by Anita Eller (Israel), Feb 8, 2006 at 05:26

I have just read your comments regarding Moslem anger over a series (?) of cartoons depicting Mohammed disrespectfully. I have read many reports on this subject, both in publications and on the internet. Along with these comments, have seen many reprints of anti-semitic cartoons. Strangely, I think, not one source has reprinted the cartoon that so enrages Moslems, denying everyone else the opportunity to judge for themselves what was so offensive. Is the whole world afraid of Moslem ire? Is the material in question so outrageous that "good taste" or "journalistic taboos" inhibit promulgation of the material in question?
