Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

It is truly disturbing to see that the Muslim world is getting closer to its goal of extending its prohibitions and prejudices on the Western world with its campaign of riots, terrorism, murders, lies, and intimidation.

Too many governments, including our own, are knuckling under to be "nice", "accommodating", "multicultural", and "understanding." This is nonsense. This is surrender and appeasement of the most basic sort -- and heedlessly conforming to the Islamic principle of "submission." For God's sake, we are not even Muslims, but we are being terrorized into accepting the rule of Islam.

There was a time when I thought that the problem was caused by Islamic radicals who did not represent the true religion of Islam, although I well remembered the dancing in the streets in Muslim cities on 9/11. This was not a minority group -- this was the majority. And, now, it is happening again: the average Muslim seems to be out throwing rocks at Western Embassies.

It is hard for me to understand why. But, now that I have looked at Dr. Abdullah Aziz's (a pseudonym to be sure), Islam comic book (http://islamcomicbook.com), I am coming to the conclusion that these people are medieval, primitive, have no understanding of the world, they are living in the last millennium, and they are a real threat to all of us, wherever we are. They are willing to die for a blasphemous, cruel, sadistic, and totally evil hate ...

This is no religion...deserving of the status and respect which they expect us to show to it. If we do not kowtow to them, they will cut off a few heads, burn Christian Churches, murder people by the thousands -- to show that Islam is a religion of peace and understanding.

How can they possibly think we believe this?

It is time to rescind the status of Islam as a Religion, take away the tax-favored status, close mosques, forbid the teachings of the Koran, and declare Islam as a hate cult, no more worthy than the many hate cults who claim to be religions, but are denied this status for actions no more reprehensible than the radical Muslims' acts.
