If someone insults your family, or friend, do you not defend them? This is the same for the cartoons, except that we love mohammed (pbuh) more than our family, so imagine how bad it is when they drew those cartoons. And we are not supposed to even imagine what the prophet looks like, so even drawing an image of him is insulting to us. Unlike you, us muslims actually defend our religion because we are proud of it. You are obviously not strong enough to defend Jesus as we are to defend our fellow muslim brothers and sisters.
