R. you write:

I am confident im my religion and in God, but I still feel i need to defend my own religion and beliefs. What's so wrong with that? At least im not scared to defend what i believe in.

I really think that your big problem is in your word 'scared'. If you really weren't scared, you wouldn't need to keep on telling us this. It's an implicit part of confidence in religion and God that fear doesn't even come into the equation.

You seem to think if you aren't prepared to commit acts of violence or stand up in public, people will think you're a coward. Where on earth does that misconception come from?

I'm prepared to admit that you and your beliefs are strong without needing you to prove this to me or anyone. Only teenage boys feel they have to exhibit their machismo.

Relax, R. The point remains: God doesn't need you or me to defend him.
