Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Whether or not the editorial cartoons should have been printed is not too important at this point. its a tough call.

But the caricatures serve as a important reality check now.The reason for my caution in the hind site printing of the cartoons is several fold but i wont formulate them here. The magnitude of the trouble brewing between the western coulture and Islamic colture is somthing i hesitate to inflame.Obviously a conflict exists. And its ramifactions could be apocoliptic. But reality is needed. And events such as the rages add to the spread of a sense of reality. I'm hesitant at the ramifications of the cost of such clarity.

It's not cowardice, or any such devise. It's the pure magnitude of such a confict that guids my hesitance. Its the Forces beyond our control that are so dangerous.
