Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Submitted by R (United Kingdom), Oct 3, 2006 at 18:32

People may find Islam to be violent, but us muslims are only supposed to fight in the name of Allah when our people are at risk, for example, if America is attacking Iraq, the whole muslim community should unite to stop this, but once they leave Iraq, or any other muslim country, muslims should not make revenge on those people.

So you see, the violence is for a good cause. Yes, there are certain individuals which kill innocent people's lives, but how can you blame muslims for that? It is the individual people who do that, and they should not represent the whole muslim community. Say for example one christian man starts to shoot all the muslims in their sight. Is it right to blame all the christians in general for doing this, or is it the man's fault?
