Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Submitted by Sadi Cayci (Turkey), Feb 7, 2006 at 13:51

I am a Muslim, sharing the Western values. My confusion is the result of my observation on the incompatibility of Western policy practices towards the "others" with Western values as I have been educated.

Individual liberties and freedom of expression and press, so long as perceived as unlimited concepts, consequently results with a small group of marginal people playing with majority of the whole community.

No to any act of terrorism. No to any overdose response. But it is also time for the West to launch a self criticism session on the cost of overall Western success and performance, up to date.

Best regards.
