Appeasing Moslems

Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Submitted by F. Shakki (United States), Feb 8, 2006 at 20:46

I do not find the cartoons of Mohammad offensive at all.

What is the problem if I reflect the truth in drawings? The history and the Koran tell us what happen in the past.

According to the Quran a man may have four wives (4:3) there is a polygamy moral problem in Islam. Even Mohammad was not consistent with his own law. He took more than thirteen wives. One of the cartoon show Mohammad has more than one woman behind him. What is wrong with this?

Mohammad believed in holy wars (the jihad). Mohammad, by divine revelation, commands his followers " fight in the cause of Allah " (2:244). He adds, " fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them" (9:5), " Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last day" (9:29). Of course paradise is promised for those who fight for Allah, " I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them into gardens with rivers …..(3.195;cf. 2:244; 4:95). The cartoon shows Mohammad on the clouds saying to the Moslems killed in jihad " stop, stop we ran out of virgins ". This is a kind of question about that much virgins Mohammad promised his followers and now the followers believed this promise and are eager to be killed in jihad for these virgins.

Another problem is that Muhammad sanctioned his followers raiding of commercial Meccan caravans. The prophet himself led three such raids. This kind of piracy cast a dark shadow over Mohammad. The cartoon shows Mohammad with a big knife.
On at least two occasions, Mohammad ordered people assassinated for composing poems that mocked him.

On other occasions Mohammad had no aversion to politically expedient assassinations. When a prominent Jew, Kab ibn al ashraf, had stirred up some discord against Mohammad and composed a satirical poem about him, the prophet asked " who will deliver me from Kab? Immediately four persons volunteered and shortly returned to Mohammad with Kab's head. This is terror.

The prophet ordered the execution of Uqbah ibn abu Muayt. When this man asked Mohammad " who will take care of my children, Mohammad, answered " The fire".

When it was believed that one woman, Abu Afk, had insulted Muhammad by a poem, one of Muhammad's followers attacked her during the night while she was surrounded by her children, one of whom she was nursing. And after removing the child from his victim, he killed her. Moslems have no mercy when they become religious.
All of this and more certainly do not seen worthy of a moral example.
The history of these terror acts is continues since Islam spread by sword all over.
The terror is everywhere in the Islamic countries against the minorities.
All over the Mosques in the Islamic world and even in the west, the ignorant imams insult the Christians and Jews. In so many times, the Moslems attack the churches and burn it and destroy the business of the minorities and even kill them.
They gave them self to do crimes against the non-Moslems and if any one say the truth about their religion, it is the end of the world.
People tried to express their opinion in the Denmark and they know the truth and show it on their cartoons.
