Feeding on Weakness

Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Submitted by Logan Berry (United States), Feb 7, 2006 at 10:18

It is shameful--but not surprising--that so many Western governments cower before the continuous and ongoing violence that Muslims perpetrate in the name their "peaceful" religion. In their desperation to avoid calling Islam the totalitarian creed it so clearly is, these governments only serve to encourage further violence.

Muslims have never recognized compromise as the act of reasonable and well-intentioned parties, but rather compromise is seen as an act of weakness to be exploited. I wish I could be hopeful that this latest explosion of Islamic violence would serve to wake up the American and European populace to the true nature of Islam, but I can't. Sadly, I expect more of the same.
