Jesus said you have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.' But now I tell you: anyone who looks at a woman and wants to possess her is guilty of committing adultery with her in his heart. (Mat 5:27,28, TEV)

Mark 10
2 Some Pharisees came and tested him (Jesus) by asking, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?"
3 "What did Moses command you?" he replied.
4 They said, "Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away."
5 "It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law," Jesus replied.
6 "But at the beginning of creation God `made them male and female.'
7 `For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,
8 and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one.
9 therefore what God has joined together let man not separate."
10 When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this.
11 He answered, "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.
12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery."

The above are only two examples on how Jesus distinguished between what have been said (OT) and New testament (Jesus' teachings)

OT is a book of prophecies; it is a journey between GOD almighty and his people. It is meant for preparing GODs plan of salvation, salvation that fulfilled by Jesus. Thousands of years before Christ born in flesh, hundreds of prophets prophesized about Jesus coming, about his teachings, his life, his death and his resurrection. Jesus came with the word of grace, he in his blood has paid for past, present and future sins of the world, those who believe in him will be saved for Jesus is the savior from GOD.

Harrak, your question about if JESUS was GOD then who was running the world when he was on earth?. This is an excellent question and not easy to answer, but lets put it this way. Don't you think that GOD almighty is the most powerful the most gracious, all knower (these are only three names of GOD from Quran), do you think that GOD is not capable of sending part of him to earth and become a human like us?

Do you think that people learn by example more than they learn by teaching? This is btw a known fact about learning behavior of human. Simply, Jesus came to provide a perfect example of unconditional love, to tell the world that violence can not be solved by violence, to create harmony and lead humanity to peace, to show GODs love and grace to humanity. Jesus is a living example for all of that and beyond. GOD sent us an example that we as human can understand, no one have seen GOD but we have seen Jesus who is GOD in flesh, who is our example. Trinity can only be understood through love and through accepting Jesus as a true and sinless divine entity who never delivered false word. If we believe Jesus as honest then we believe his words and then we believe that he is son of GOD as he said so many times in his teachings.

This is a glimpse of Differences between OT and New Testament,

Jesus is the truth and the truth will set you free

Peace be with you
