The "old ways" versus the hip hop

Reader comment on item: How the Cartoon Protests Harm Muslims [by Leading to a Separation of Civilizations]

I note with interest Mr Pipes' "Muslims to seek solace in radical Islam" statement. Here in the US West we hear from the elder Native American chiefs (Indians) how the "old ways' are the best and on and on. I don't think the average young one is paying much attention. He or she, hopefully, is pulling away from the "old ways" and joining the rapper, hip-hop, IPOD generation and looking forward instead of backward.

If the young people in the Mideast can pull themselves away from the mullahs, perhaps there will be a chance for them to move in a forward direction as well. Perhaps we should airdrop a billion or so 50 Cent (a rapper) CDs over the area to help jumpstart this process. I myself don't care much for rap music, I prefer Frank Sinatra-but hey!... whatever works.
