Reader comment on item: How the Cartoon Protests Harm Muslims [by Leading to a Separation of Civilizations]

Submitted by Curtis Stone (China), Feb 21, 2006 at 03:15

It seems the violent and ongoing reaction is doing nothing but supporting an image of terror. The cartoon bounty was about as low as you could go, especially since it is always possible it may have been some teenagers from Denmark who are still living with their parents who drew the cartoons in the first place.

If Muslims are going to be angry, they need to be angry at the radical Muslims who have put them in this negative spotlight. Regardless if the cartoons were insulting or not, the terror so closely associated with the Muslim religion is the real insult.

I put together a small documentary about this issue, and you can find it at my website, located at http://www.obber.com. But the one thought that always pops up in my mind is when I was in high school and I had to face the bully who told me what I had to do. Only when you stand up to the bully will the terror stop.
