Reader comment on item: How the Cartoon Protests Harm Muslims [by Leading to a Separation of Civilizations]
in response to reader comment: Cause of the Muslim predicament

"It is revealing that you have to jump out of the Middle East and all the way over to Southeast Asia to find your example."

Malaysia is nothing special. Many Muslim countries have a high GDP growth rate (6% to 8% which is more than decent by any standard). Qatar and UAE have a higher GDP per capita than Israel and many European countries. Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have higher GDP per capita than Malaysia. Turkey and Iran have higher GDP per capita than many Latin American countries -- who are Christian countries by the way. What did Christianity do for them? Nothing. What did Christianity do for the Christian majority African countries like Zimbabwe and Rwanda? Aids? One million people were massacred in Rwanda -- a Christian country -- (the largest modern massacre after the cold war behind another modern Christian massacre in former Yugoslavia).

"I am not an expert on Malaysia"

You are not an expert at anything other propagating hate and nonsense.

(snipped usual lies -- does your religion teach you that?)

"Back to Malaysia. As happens in all Islamic countries, today and historically, the Muslims in Malaysia are currently agitating to squeeze the non-Muslims out of their society through punitive laws and violence.. "

Malaysia is a million times more tolerant (even the State Department report claims that it is tolerant) than Christian West who exterminated all pre-Christian religions, killed all Muslims and many Jews (like in Spain). And when just recently only in the last few decades when the percentage of non-European non-Christian population grew in Europe (still a very small minority -- compared to percentage of minorities in Malaysia, Egypt or Lebanon) all kinds of right wing parties and bigots popped up immediately spewing hate and claiming the West is doomed and gloomed soon -- as you and many other here are perfect example of that. You are the one who is intolerant bigot (always have been) not Malaysia.
