As I read the article - the future

Reader comment on item: How the Cartoon Protests Harm Muslims [by Leading to a Separation of Civilizations]

Submitted by Frank Oddersborg (Denmark), Feb 14, 2006 at 12:52

As I read the article, we're at the brink of a new cold war, this time it's the western world vs. many Muslim controlled countries.

As there is now single government at present time representing the whole of the Muslim countries (I seriously doubt that there will ever be one), the foe won't be as stable as the USSR was.

This fact alone scares me, so there is really no alternative, they can't be allowed to "go their own way". Military action to prevent this can not be excluded.

The longer the west is waiting to take such action, the more dangerous the whole situation will be.

Such actions are already being conducted like Iraq and Afghanistan.
