Pope does not have to accept Muhammad's prophethood for churches to be built

Reader comment on item: Churches in Saudi Arabia?
in response to reader comment: Pure Hypocrisy by Islamic Countries

Submitted by Angel2 (United States), Feb 16, 2009 at 16:32

Adem, You are right but did not go far enough. Sometimes under pressure we end up saying things that are against our values.

If freedom of speech is a cherished value, then Islamic countries should allow churches to be built on their land ******EVEN IF******* (I cannot emphasize enough) the Pope says that Mohammad was *****NOT******* a prophet.

Or otherwise, Muslims should not be allowed to build mosques in India until they accept that attaching icons to the God is not a sin.

Living with the beliefs that are not yours, is what is required in the modern world.
