All major sacred books are plagiarized

Reader comment on item: Churches in Saudi Arabia?
in response to reader comment: Translation is not Original

Whether or not any ancient book is in the original language or not does not mean it will mean the same thing in the same language today.

Notice that all the major religions have codes of conduct, moral codes, what have you, and they aren't unique! Just about anything found in the Bible, Torah, Koran, etc. can be found in earlier writings. In fact, it's mostly plagiarized/assimilated. Moses and Mohammed didn't get this stuff from a god. They simply adopted what others had already done, embellished it with some material from their own time, and voila! They had a text they could use to control the behavior of large numbers of people, complete with a magical entity as the "originator."

So, with all the scholarship and study in the world, these ancient books of myth, legend, folklore, and social control are just contrived by the authors.
