I disagree that atheists' "doubt" is a reason not to sign your silly paper. To do so would be an act of submission and we don't owe you anything. Also, mental programming does occur, and our thoughts and actions do "program" us. So it would not be in one's best mental health interest to sign something saying he is submitting in such a way to another, even as a joke.

Yes, Unitarian-Universalists do teach a 3-part course called "Build Your Own Theology." It gives people exercises and then time to reflect between the 3 courses. Some people repeat them after some time to see how their theology may have changed.

I agree with you that the ignorant turn to blind faith in religion. I think we need to end ignorance, in the sense that former U.S. President Thomas Jefferson attempted to do. I think human consciousness is at a point where it could take a giant leap forward or regress to the ancient, as happened in Iran (Khomenei) and the U.S. (Bush).
