To Williame - The palestine questionReader comment on item: Churches in Saudi Arabia? Submitted by Samer Sukhun (Canada), Apr 23, 2008 at 13:54 Williame, you are mistaken you say - "That afterwards some palestinian ruler thought he could wash away past deals and conquer the land that was given to the jews Is a stupid mistake. Because the result was Loss of palestinian land to the jews. but who started that war?" The truth is that ever since Lord balfour announced in 1917 the intention of the British Government to give Palestine to the Jews as their land, Palestinian and Arab uprising never stopped. During the 1920s and 1930s Palestine witnessed many many revolts against the british, who were brining in Jews from Europe to Palestine. The British armed the Jews very well, and no one was helping the Palestinians. The were many revolts in Palestine against the british and the Jews who came to the land, in 1936 the famous uprise, was a very strong one, but at the end it was suppressed by the British, the british continued to bring Jews and arms them in Palestine. in 1947 the UN which was a puppet organisation in the hands of Americans and Europeans announced the partition of palestine , the Arabs refused because part of their land will be lost, in late 1947, there were three parties fighting each other, the British and the Jews, The British and the palestinians, the Jews and the Paletinians, because the Jews were better armed they made many massacres in Palestines killing all inhabitants in entire cities as their book the old testament told them to do. Late 1947 the british decided to leave the matter in the hands of UN and decided to leave the country in a mess , 1948 after the british troops left palestine, the arabs decided to go in there and take retake their land from the jews, but the jews were better equipped than the whole of the arabs, thanks to the British. The war resulted in the lost of palestine and more than the UN decided to give to the jews. Ever since until today the people never forgot their land and they are determined to continue the fight until they have their land back Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
