Reader comment on item: Churches in Saudi Arabia?
in response to reader comment: The lowest Land on Earth

Our dear Samer wrote

>Sara - You said "Elsewhere in the Qur'an (30:1), Palestine is called "the closest land" (adna al-ard). "

(Adna al-ard)- the translation of many scholars is incorrect, the correct word is lowest land on Earth

Our dear Samer who knows no Arabic is now correcting his "scholars."

The lowest land means al-arda al-munkhafida. adna al-ard means the nearer land. Shame on you for pontificating about a language that you do not read write or speak. Sara is correct and your translation is bogus

Well let us see what the Qur'an really says a book that he cannot read in Arabic and my source here is the 1923-1924 edition of the Cairo Qur'an

alif lam meem ghulibat al-ruum fi adna al-ard wa huma min ba3di ghalbihum sayaghlibuna

Or (the letters alif lam meem) the Romans (read this as the Greeks) were defeated in in the nearer land and they will defeat after their defeat

And here is your lesson for today:

1. How come no one has a clue about what those three letters mean the alif lam meem?

2. And why is your Allah using a Syriac word for the Greeks when there are perfect Arabic words for the Greeks eg: al-aghreeq yunaniyuun?

3. And where does it say the word Falasteen in this aya?

4. And how do you know that the aya was not "revealed" to Muhammad after the defeat of the Persians by the Greeks in 627CE? Let me help you: we do not know

5. And where does it say in the aya that the Greeks were defeated by the Persians? Let me help you: it does not say that.

6. are you aware that the Ulama edited your Allah's book by adding short vowels and two hamzas one above the reh in ruum and the orther above memm in min? so much for the unedited Qur'an

7. But you know what? the final nail in the coffin of this little gem that it does not say

wa ina al-3rab sayaghlubu al-ruum

Or 'and the Arabs will defeat the Romans'

So what is your Allah talking about in his mix of Syriac and Arabic? we just do not know.

>The right translation of the verses is as follows "The Romans have been defeated" "In the Lowest of Earth" "And after their defeat they will be victorious" "In few years time, The decision of the matter before and after is only with God. And on the that day the believers (Muslims) will rejoice.

Bogus translation as where does it say in the aya the word al-muslimeen? Shame on you for editing the book of your Allah

Are you also aware that in the early commentaries the word GHLBT was read as: GHaLaBTi (they defeated) instead of GhuLiBaTi (they were defeated)? and it fits well if you read the rest of this aya as

ghulbihum sayaghlabun

Or: and after their victory they will be victorious

See? all took is changing a few short vowels and your little thesis fell apart

So much for the Qur'an the so called kitab mubeen

>7 years after this verse was send down by God to Mohammad, the Romans were victorious and the Persians were defeated. - A Miracle in the Quran.

Really? then how come your Allah did not predict the defeat of the Greeks by the Arab invaders in 633CE?

>The Lowest land lies between Palestine and present day Jordan in the Jordan Valley, and the war that occured between the Romans and the Persians was in the river Jordan basin (The Jordan Valley) and every one knows that the Jordan valley is the lowest place on this Earth.

Bogus the lowest land means al-arda al-munkhafida. So where do we find this word in this aya? Your claim is bogus. And how come your Allah does not mention that the Greeks also defeated the Persians in Egypt?

>This is by itself is another miracle in the Quran, because it shows that the place where the two factions fought was actually the lowest place on earth. This was only proven in the last century with modern advanced instrumention and technology.

No this is another example of your poor education and your lack of critical examination of the evidence
