Wrong, Mohmmad wanted to face mecca but god refused, for 18 months he was facing jerusalem, then God commanded the change to mecca, for known reasons written in the Quran.

Read how the four scholars such as Bukhari, Muslim, Termezy, Nisa'y compiled the Hadith, their names you can find in the internet, and how the science of compilation was done

You can also read in the internet about the Ijtihad (Interpretations of Hadith of Maliky, Hanafi, Shafi'i and Hanbali

You will know the science of gathering and QC the Hadith

I will give a small hint, - those scholar eliminated any narated hadith if the chain of narrators is weak or even if one person in the chain is unreliable source.
