Inventing...Reader comment on item: Churches in Saudi Arabia? Submitted by B. Williame (Belgium), Apr 16, 2008 at 05:42 Salam, Sad to say I didn't invent anything... Before I start citing books and giving website links I got something more for you to think about. Catholics where in the past mingled with worldy power. But the separation of church and state made their religion purer again. When will this happen for Islam? Because history has taught you as well that it is rulers who start wars. Rulers seeking power. Rulers often needing a reason to motivate their wars and invasions. If it is for religion, or for money it still ends in a lust for power. Thanks to the separation of state and church we can now clearly see what wars in the near past are led by religion and what are led by the desires of a ruler. With Islam this is not clear as there is law and therefore state connected to it's faith. If you want to compare wars, compare them correctly. Because the crusader wars where not only motivated by religion though the masses where told so. (I've been waiting with this info because I was suspecting that many muslims lacked it) Aye, we westerners know about the popes earthly lust of power back then... how come you didn't, or did, but didn't mention it? Sadly most wars are led by greed, not by good faith. And I hope/suppose you'll also accept that the wars Mohammed led in the past where led by the same Satanic hunger called greed. Not by the word of Allah. Regards Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
