Ron: Catholic Vs. Non

Reader comment on item: Churches in Saudi Arabia?
in response to reader comment: Why the obsession about the Roman Catholic Church?

Submitted by Viking Woman (Kuwait), May 7, 2008 at 02:55

The fact of the matter is, the Catholic church has maintained loose ties with Muslims, and tried very hard to have dialogue.

It's not a matter of a Catholic church or not, once a Catholic church is opened, others will follow suit.

My respect for the Catholic Cardinals and the Pope, is they dare to question dogma, and have a firmer stand on issues. For example, did you know there are 2 very highly placed Cardinals who are speaking out against Christian women marrying Muslim men?

Can you show me any non Catholic clergy has has spoken out on this topic?

Personally, I am speaking out, and I would like to see more Protestants and other Christians speak out on this volatile subject.

Do not denounce the Catholics having a church first----be thankful to God, the opportunity is being considered as a precedent to allowing other religions to worship.
