Allah means "God" for Arab Christians and is found in the Arabic Holy Bible.

Here is another WHY?

One of the most overlooked points in this entire [age of ridiculous babble is the simple fact that if you a) read Arabic (I do) and b) have a copy of the bible in Arabic (I do) you will find the name "Allah" therein, mentioned a considerable quantity of times.

I cannot copy and paste Arabic text in this window for you, but rest assured, it is in there.

Let's take John 3:16:

"La inna hakadha ahubba ALLAH al 'alam hatta badhal Ibnahul wahid..."

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only son..."

Ask your friendly Arab Christian about this, before you jump on the bandwagon of demonizing FOREIGN-SOUNDING deities so nonchalantly. If only American evangelicals could ever possibly manage to figure this out? Well, I'm sure the missionaries who go abroad have learned this, but most stateside have yet to fathom it.

Taj is right- I would only add that it is the Arab view- BOTH Arab Christians AND Muslims- that Allah is the one God of the monotheist Abraham.

As far as why others outside of a religion are considered less than perfect by the adherent, that seems nearly universal. As far as the treatment of women is concerned, I can question as much about Judeo-Christian history as of Islam.
