Allah is not the God of Christians and Jews

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? - Continued

Submitted by James Biga (United States), Sep 26, 2006 at 12:29

I do not believe that Allah is the same God of the Jews and Christians. If I believed that Mohammad was actually a prophet I would still have a problem with the contradictions that are found with allah. The God of the Bible is consistent. The allah of the quran is not. It appears that allah is constantly evolving. From acceptance to tolerance to killing. The God of the Bible has an angry side that can be found throughout the Bible but it is a justified anger. the allah in the quran is spiteful, almost childlike. I would have a hard time believing in a being that wants me to either kill or take money. Allah is too human-like. Allah appears to have all the problems that mankind has and can justify anything. The God of the Bible is above humanity but involved with humanity. God acts like the perfect father. Allah acts like the jealous brother.
