"I do think there is a god whether he be allah or god. There was a maker of all things and there was a man named Jesus who loved everyone. We can all agree on that . lets find things we can all agree on first ."

Friend - this is the starting point of much of the confusion - I think, anyway - allow me to re-make your statement ...

I know there is a God and His 'name' is not allah. This God told Moses His 'name' and it is represented by 4 Hebrew letters that do not spell allah. The Jews respect(ed) this 'name' so much that they refuse(d) to speak it at all - so its pronunciation in Hebrew has become lost - however, the 4 Hebrew letters in no way resemble or can be made to sound like allah. So, perhaps we can first agree that the god whose name is allah in the quran is not the God whose name is 4 Hebrew letters in the Torah.

This, I believe, would be a significant point of agreement.
