Prove your 'friends' correct - why don't you?

Oliver, I'm sorry that you find my disagreements so "disagreeable".

My sentiments are likewise.

You stoop to the point of accusing my Arabic-speaking Christian friends of being blasphemous for liturgy that is in an language that you do not personally comprehend, and for reasons that you refuse to fathom. Such sanctimonious displays are far more disagreeable than anything that I have posted.

I am not stooping - nor am I accusing - I am trying to draw one's attention to a practice that could be blasphemous. Most of your 'arguments' have been directed at proving me wrong - with little effort placed toward proving your 'friends' correct. Among members of the same religion 'scripture' is the ONLY body of evidence that is acceptable to all. Therefore your proof MUST come from the Bible.

Do Arabic-speaking Christians deserve the understanding and support of their fellow Christians?
Or do they deserve to be damned their fellow Christians for perceived "blasphemy"? You've obviously made a choice; it's just too bad that your preference for extreme literalism has resulted in such dogmatic rigidities that lead you to such an unwarranted, even inhumane conclusion. Such tendencies only serve to exacerbate conflict rather than effectively resolve it.

Exo 20: 3 "You shall have no other gods before me."

Exo 20: 7 "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

Exo 23: 13 "Be careful to do everything I have said to you. Do not invoke the names of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips.

I have used these verses before - they are clear evidences - I am concerned for the spiritual wellbeing of your 'friends' - show me how their use of the NAME Allah does not contravene these COMMANDS.
