Lactantius JrReader comment on item: Is Allah God? - Continued Submitted by Sohail (United Kingdom), Oct 18, 2006 at 10:21 Lactantius Jr sura 9:5 was refering to Muhammad (pbuh) on how he fought the pagans: But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful Quran 9:5 Lactantius Jr you should have also quoted sura 9:6 to show better understanding of the verses and remember this sura 9 was revealed probably around the time of the batte of Hunayn and Sura 8 and 3 are talking about the Battle of Badr. Allah tell's muslim's to leave non-muslims alone and let them enjoy this life: Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to God's will) in Islam. Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them).
