in response to reader comment: Satan

To Rajesh

Thank you for responding to Sohail in the way you did, and thank you for saving me the time doing it.

Notice that Sohail raises no objection to the fact that the "challenge" of Surah 2:23 to "produce a Surah like it" has been met, and met by the devil, in answer to Surah 17:88

That Muhammad spoke satan's words, and that neither Muhammad nor anyone else, was able to distinguish them from Allah's words, is well documented in the Islamic sources. The four early biographers of Muhammad's life detail the story of "the satanic verses." Many Hadith also establish it, with references to it in the Sahih Hadith. Finally, there is specific references to it in the Qur'an, but Sohail doesn't say whether this Satanic ability to speak words indistinguishable from Allah's, when masquerading as the Archangel Gabriel, bothers him, and I'm really surprised that Sohail suggests the possibility of some of satan's words being part of the Qur'an, as long as they're "good words," and it's pertinent to remember what the Lord Jesus Christ's response was, when He was accused of casting out demons by Beelzebub the prince of demons.

"Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. But some of them said, ‘By Beelzebub, the prince of demons, he is driving out demons.' Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven.

Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: ‘Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall. If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? I say this because you claim that I drive out demons by Beelzebub. Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your followers drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you."

Luke 11:14-20

The Lord Jesus Christ encourages us to confidently believe, that if satan has deceptively intruded his words into the Qur'an, "the game's up," because "a house divided against itself will fall." Lord haste the day, when divided houses fall.

Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father
