Just because the Pope says it does not make it true

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? - Continued

Submitted by Ibn Kammuna (United States), Oct 8, 2007 at 07:59

Pipes is stretching it here , by quoting the Pope as a source . The pope is just someone that wakes up like everybody else in the morning and he DOES not have a hotline to "God". He his no more an authority on God than my pet dog.

With that being said , Is Allah the same as the Christian God? Not really , unles God suffers from multiple personality disorder. The Christian God preaches love and kindness to all , while the Muslim God preaches submission and punishment for the non believers.

I find it somewhat offensive that any one would say that these two are the same.
