Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? - Continued
in response to reader comment: Another trick, but not tricky enough

Jennifer:

Please refer to my post on the Zabad inscription, a Christian inscription that pre-dates Islam, which includes an early form Arabic script that clearly states "al-ilah". "al-Ilah" and Allah are the same thing. many Arabic speaking Christians that I know personally agree with this view. Have you by any chance met any?

"I've yet to hear from ANY Muslim-turned-Christian refer to God as ALLAH. What does that tell you?"

Could it be that such converts are by and large unfamiliar with the traditions of Arabic-speaking Christians? Perhaps these converts really don't know Arabic because they are from Pakistan, Iran, or Turkey? Just because these converts choose to use a post-hoc fallacy doesn't mean that all Arab Christians (or any Christian for that matter) should also do so.

Please suspend your own sanctimonious zealotry for a few minutes and learn a bit more about what you refer to before you post. In particular, may I suggest that you meet Arabic speaking Christians of different denominations before you parrot the "Allah is a pagan god" argument?
