'Allah' is my rock and redeemer?

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? - Continued

Actually, Allah was a rock . . . a stone idol originally. One of 360 Vedic dieties in the Kabaa.

Mohammad chose Allah, the chief diety at the time, to replace the Judeo-Christian YHVH. Mohammad took many such liberties, and they can be read directly in the Koran. Of course, Muslims claim that it was the Christians who re-wrote the original bible. Somehow, centuries, if not a millenium later, they corrected the editing in a massive revision.

History suggests that Mohammad's Uncle was a caretaker in the Kabaa, a family tradition that Mohammad would have inherited. But, perhaps Mohammad didn't want to be chambermaid to 360 idols, thus the conversion to monotheism.

Therefore, Allah is not the Muslim monotheistic equivalent except in revision. Allah was originally an idol; one of 360.
