If scripture reveals God, they're obviously different

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? - Continued

Islam is based on works to gain Allah's favor -

"Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy, they will be successful. But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls; in hell will they abide." - Qur'an 23:102-103.

Christianity is based on the grace of God -

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (believers in Christ)." - Romans 8:1

The Old Testament gives many verses describing the comming of the Messiah -

"But He was pierced through for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being [fell] upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed." - Isaiah 53:5

Both the Old and New Testaments reveal God is not impressed by works; let alone, that He rewards it with salvation.

"For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment." - Isaiah 64:6

"For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; and not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

The Qur'an states those who say Christ is God commit blasphemy (Qur'an 5.72), the Trinity consists of God the Father, Mary the Mother, and Jesus the Son (Qur'an 5.116); there is no absolute assurance of salvation, except for those who kill and are killed in Allah's cause (Qur'an 9.111).

"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved." - Acts 16:31

There is absolutely no evidence, based on the scripture of Islam and that of the Bible, that the God of the Bible is the same as that of the Qur'an and the Hadiths.

In fact, the more these scriptures are reviewed, the more obvious the difference.
