Gomez,

God did not change throughout Old and New Testaments. If you read the Old carefully, you will note the great mercy, over and over, toward incredibly horrific sin. Violence was throughout the earth, and Noah was the only faithful one. In Sodom and Gomorrah, the horde of homosexuals were pounding at Lot's door, demanding to "have" the angel visitors. How bad is that.

Read the Law; against bestiality, because God said the nations around you do these things. You have to realize that idol worship in those days was not as "benign" as it is today in Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. The orgies that went on during worship, bestiality (so even the animals had to be killed), sacrificing children, live children in the molten arms of Baal/Molech. God kept telling the people not to pass their children through the fire. Jericho's walls were discovered by archaeologists to have urns full of these sacrificed bones. It was beyond description. Should God have put up with this?! Who would allow it now? (Unfortunately, we do through abortion.)

God had even waited 400 yrs. before punishing these monstrous acts, until their iniquity was full. And don't even try saying the virgins were raped. They were taken to Israel, saved, and could be married to an Israelite. They could NOT be raped, as this was forbidden by God in ALL situations. Incest? When God reveals the sins of them, He is NOT condoning the sin. Same with Samson's drinking. If you noticed, please, there were always awful consequences to their sins. (Keep in mind, the Koran allows sex with "whom your right hand possesses=slaves.) Keep in mind that M. practiced pedophilia, murder, caravan raids, stealing, ordered hand cut off for the theft of an egg or rope. Let's keep this truthful and in perspective.
