Response to Mr. Noah Wilk.

I want to keep this short as this is not the thread to conduct this discussion on Mexicans in the US. I dont live in the US. My work brings me to the US very often. During my stays I have noticed that in the West coast , East coast and the South Western States, that all the menial labor & semi skilled labor that the average "white" does not want to do. e.g. garbage collection, the restaurant industry, hotel industry, Hospitals, landscaping & gardening, most building trades, delivery, road works etc., employs over 90% Mexcians. If they are not needed as you say, they will not come.

They fill a need, I think there was a film recently - "The day the mexcians left" . Everything came to a standstill, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, landscaping, building trade, road works , garbage collection, maids, cleaning ladies , farming - picking friuit and vegetables etc. So your contention that they are all criminals is very unjust and inocrrect.

There are various studies done on Mexican immigrants on the internet, some very positive. You may need to do some research on this issue. Its not just black and white, there are many grey areas. The second generation of these immigrants are doing well , such as the Mayor of LA, many doctors, lawyers and other professionals whom I have met, their parents were Mexican labourers.

I have heard the same type of " stuff " you stated in you post whenever I visit the US, but I also have heard the contribution that the Mexican labour has brought to the economy in variious ways; remember years ago it was the same triad against the Irish, then againt the Italians, then against the east europeans and so forth - that they bring disease and crime. Its a human issue. I agree one has to regulate immigrants, The US population wants their produce cheap. The Mexican farm labourers fill that bill.

Mexicans are not building masjids all over the country, niether are they causing terror, nor do they have vocal 'up in your face' organizations such as CAIR, Islamic thinkers society. I have never seen a Mexian trampling the stars and stripes. 99% are humble labourers, about 1% is the crimminal elemant which every society has. Many in the US fail to see that Califorina, Texas, New Mexico were part of Mexico at one time.
