The Truth About Islam

Reader comment on item: Europe is Finished, Predicts Mark Steyn

It's obvious that only a madman could call Islam the "religion of peace" with a straight face. Someone (I believe it may have been Ann Coulter) called it the "religon of perpetual outrage", and that's certainly more fitting. It's been more accurately decribed as a death-worshipping cult, a mass psychosis, and a religion of violence. All of those fit. However, I'd like to suggest perhaps the most accurate description yet...the religion of delusion. Why delusion? Let's first define the word "delusion" in psychological terms:

Delusion - n. - a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact.

In other words, a delusional person believes in something despite evidence that invalidates his belief or proves him wrong. Denial of reality is a simple way of putting it.

This sums up Islam to a tee. As we're seeing on this very forum, Muslims will constantly chant their mantra that Islam is a "religion of peace" in denial of reason, confrontation with factual reality, or historical evidence proving it is anything but peaceful.

Muslims are unable to criticize their own religion or admit its shortcomings in any way. Provide them with damning evidence of Islam's inherent violent tendencies and they evade/deflect the issue and starting talking about the Salem Witch Trials or the Inquisition. Every argument I've ever had with a Muslim has ended the same way...with me throwing my hands up in disgust and admitting that no meaningful, productive, intelligent conversation can be had with Muslims. They're simply delusional and unable in any way to deal with the reality of their religion.

And so Islam is doomed to remain a psychotic death cult, a mass psychosis that endorses slavery, rape, death, and destruction.
